HCL Aspiring Minds GD & Personal Interview
Hello friends...Last week my friend got selected for HCL...He shared some GD experiences with me which I am gonna share with you now.
Firstly, there is no technical round, but there is a technical GD. Now if you ask me "what is this technical group discussion?", my answer would be "It is just a group discussion on some technical topic". They first introduce you to some technical topic and then they'll ask you to discuss on that topic. In my friends case it was a topic on database. So, if you already know the topic, take the initiative and start the dicussion. If you are not so sure, it would be best you start second in the group. They mainly want to know how well you grasp the subject...you should show them that you've got the attitude to learn and you are trainable.
Secondly, if you clear the GD you would be asked to attend the interview. The interview is very easy to get through. The way you present yourself matters here. They mainly see how you would be helpful for the organization in short term and long term. They may ask you "Where do see yourself 5 years from now?".So prepare on these lines and hope for the best. Every interview is an experience, you would definitely take away something from it.
All the best to you all!!!!!!

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts an examination that is held to recruit various officials on the various government posts. Various aspects of the administrative and other government wings are filled up by this examination. This is a very highly reputed entrance examination as it tends to recruit people who have great responsibility of the state.
The examination paper is not very tough, but is capable enough of testing the knowledge of the candidates in almost every sector. The entrance examination contains written paper of 300 marks. The time duration to complete the test is given 3 hours. The examination paper is basically divided in to two main parts.
One is the General studies and the other part has a choice between General English and general Tamil. The candidates have to attempt any one of the two.
The questions are basically objective type, with one word answer. The answer is given along with few more wrong answers as options. ABOUT BROADBAND INTERNET
Now-a-days the internet is very useful for everyone if we use it in a proper way. But some of the connection authorities are allowing all the sites to be opened. The sites related to unwanted information like sex should not be visible to all the people. So atleast particular site should be banned. Then the internet will be useful for everyone even the children to learn new things.
for children to play games and also the clear view of a particular thing. If the child didnot know about the meaning of a particular word. If he/she enter the world in the google then the detailed information will be printed. if we use it in a proper way it will be useful to learn new softwares , for job search , to learn how to cook new food items etc in all areas.
Now-a-days if a children are opening the internet they may have the doubt that he/she is seeing the sex websites. if we are able to restrict that sites this will be helpful according to my view

What is 3G or 3rd Generation?
“Third generation” redirects here. For third-generation immigrants, see Immigrant generations.
International Mobile Telecommunications-2000 (IMT-2000), better known as 3G or 3rd Generation, is a family of standards for mobile telecommunications fulfilling specifications by the International Telecommunication Union,[1] which includes UMTS, and CDMA2000 as well as the non-mobile wireless standards DECT[citation needed] and WiMAX[citation needed]. While the GSM EDGE standard also fulfils the IMT-2000 specification, EDGE phones are typically not branded 3G. Services include wide-area wireless voice telephone, video calls, and wireless data, all in a mobile environment. Compared to 2G and 2.5G services, 3G allows simultaneous use of speech and data services and higher data rates (at least 200 kbit/s peak bit rate to fulfill to IMT-2000 specification). Today’s 3G systems can in practice offer up to 14.0 Mbit/s on the downlink and 5.8 Mbit/s on the uplink.

concept of 3-G
Mobile telephones, the 1st generation of which were introduced in the mid-1980’s, have been constantly evolving since their inception. Today, over 2B mobile phones are in usage and around 80% of the world’s population is within reach of a mobile phone signal). Mobile phones have traditionally been used for voice communications, but today can serve as the platform for a variety of communication outputs — including data and video. 3G is the third-generation of mobile phone technology standards. The typical services associated with 3G include wireless voice telephony and broadband wireless data, all in a mobile environment. However, with the capability for high-speed wireless data transfer, 3G has enhanced or made possible a myriad of additional applications such as mobile video, secure mobile ecommerce, location-based services, mobile gaming and audio on demand. For example, using 2.5G (or a slightly better version of second-generation wireless) a three-minute song takes between six and nine minutes to download. Using 3G, it can download in 11 to 90 seconds.
what is 4-G?
4G is the short name for fourth-generation wireless, the stage of broadband mobile communications that will supercede the third generation (3G). Although carriers and governing standards bodies have not agreed upon exactly what 4G will be, it is expected to use available radio spectrum more efficiently and as a result, provide end users with cable-modem transmission speeds which will support high-quality streaming video.

Endangered Species - Top 10 Endangered Animals
Here you can learn about top 10 endangered animals from around the world. Currently, 1,556 known species in the world have been identified as endangered, or near extinction, and are under protection by government law. Numbers of Endangered Animals remaining are estimated in the list below.
What are Endangered Animals?
An endangered species is a population of organisms which is at risk of becoming extinct because it is either few in numbers, or threatened by changing environmental or predation parameters. Many nations have laws offering protection to conservation reliant species: for example, forbidding hunting, restricting land development or creating preserves. Only a few of the many species at risk of extinction actually make it to the lists and obtain legal protection. Many more species become extinct, or potentially will become extinct, without gaining public notice.
Being listed as an endangered species can have negative effect since it could make a species more desirable for collectors and poachers. This effect is potentially reducible, such as in China where commercially farmed turtles may be reducing some of the pressure to poach endangered species.

Combine, Join Multiple MP3 Files Into One MP3 File
How many times did you desperately need to join files? Did you use a dedicated tool having too many options and settings to go around with? If yes, then please take a look at JoinExt which is a freeware and lets you tojoin files seamlessly. It is especially designed to join mp3 files but can join videos and other formats of files too, even without much hassle and effort involved.
It is a simplest of all the application. Here you need to select files which are needed to be joined and then right click to select join files. This tool creates an option to join the files within the context menu of Windows explorer.

The file joining wizard will start, in first step, you can specify order in which the files should be joined. For example, some times you need to arrange them properly before joining them, as in case of joining songs this order matters, as it determines that which song will be played first. In the next step you will have to specify the output file name and the location where you want to store it, and last step will be clicking next.
This last step will start the joining process and it will also show the complete path where the files to be joined are present to ensure transparency. The speed which it offers while joining the files is quite remarkable, as while personally testing this tool, it joined 200 MB of file set in couple of seconds.
Despite the fact that many file joiner tools have bobbed up in recent past, but most of them require configuration unnecessary settings and options to be specified while joining the file. Considering this, windows shell integration tool like this is quite useful in terms of joining the files effortlessly.
This software is only 124 KB which allows you to download and install this in matter of seconds. It does not create any desktop shortcuts and does not add any option in the start up menu.
In the end I would like to say that this tool will prove up to your expectations and will be immensely helpful for you to solve your all types of file-joining problems. So go on and explore its wonderful features.
This tool is compatible with all the version of windows as it has been checked on Windows XP and Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate edition.

How To Open .BIN, .ISO, .CCD Files
Now a days CD drives are seldom used as we generally convert the content of CDs or DVDs into images. The freeware which we generally use are Daemon Tools and Power ISO which are not considered as light software and moreover after installation, they ask for system reboot. One of my friend told me about a toll named as Virtual Clone drive, which is also used to mount the images but then it is very light and much easier to use.
This tool takes very less time to get installed as compared to other tools which we generally use. It does not ask for any reboot after getting installed unlike the other tools and the best feature about this tool is that it is very easy to use.
All the images mounted by this tool will enlisted in the history and from there you can keep a record of all the images used by you. This tool is available in different languages and it also very small with a size of 1.49 Mb. After getting installed it does not open in a different application window but it will be minimized onto the tray. If you want to change the settings of the then you go to the context menu of this tool which will lead you to a separate application window for settings.
This tool is compatible with all the version of Windows as it has already been checked with Windows XP and Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate edition.

The snapshot shown above has been taken during installation, as it asks about the format of files which will be handled by this tool. Once it is completely installed it will take care of all those types of files which were marked during installation like .bin, .iso, .ccd etc. are some of the formats. When you will double click these files then they will mount on a virtual drive created by this software and then you can see them as if you have opened as CD/DVD drive on your system.
‘Virtual Clone Drive’ as the name tells it all that this freeware will create a virtual drive for the image files, so that you can read them in those drives. You can see from the snapshot shown below that it will ask for the number of virtual drive you want to create on your system, you can also mount the last image and you can also make this tool visible on the tray.

Copy, Extract Images In PPT and PPTX
When we download any power point presentation then there are some important diagrams or chart representation which is always useful to us and we want to keep them for future purpose. Going to each slide and then copying each and every diagram, any image file or a wave file will kill lot of time. So, you can a freeware known as Power point Image Extractor, which can extract all the images and wave files present inside that power point slide and then copy them into a certain folder.
As you can correlate with its name “Power point Image Extractor” that it was made with the purpose of extracting the images from the power point slide from the slides, which can help us in keeping only the important parts of thepresentation rather than storing the whole presentation as sometimes they occupy lots of space but do not provide much important data in their text.
The size of this freeware is 960Kb and it is very easy to install, after getting installed it will ask the language in which you want to interface with the software as this tool is present in two languages out of which one is English and the other one is French.
As you can see from the above snapshot that the only option it has on its application window is ‘Load’, which will load the power point presentation selected by you in this tool (it will take only one power point presentation at a time). As you can select the power point file, it will ransack through the file and collect all the images and WAV files present inside that presentation and then it will save them at a certain location where your presentation was initially stored.
